Along the way\, guests will gain firsthand insight into how recreation and conservation coexist within the wildland–urban interface. Distance: 4.2 miles (casual pace with multiple stops) Terrain: Wide\, hard-packed trail featuring a moderately steep ascent and descent along sections of eroded path Elevation Change: +585 ft (1.2 mi ascent via East Cut) / –675 ft (1.3 mi descent via B.F.I.) Through the Decades: Artists That Shaped the Festival of Arts \, presented in partnership with Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens \, brings together historic and contemporary works from the Festival’s Permanent Art Collection for a special summer exhibition on view June 12 through September 6\, 2026. Featuring paintings\, ceramics\, and sculptures by influential California artists and longtime Festival exhibitors\, the exhibition highlights the artists\, visionaries\, and cultural moments that shaped both the Festival and Laguna Beach’s enduring creative legacy. Featured artists include Virginia Woolley \, John H. Hinchman \, Roy Ropp \, Roger Kuntz \, Joane Cromwell \, Edgar Payne \, Elsie Palmer Payne \, Frank Cuprien \, Fred Stodder \, Mike Tauber \, Pat Sparkuhl \, Monica Dunham \, and more. SUMMARY:Dusk Discovery: Bats in Clark Regional Park
DESCRIPTION:After the sun sets\, the night sky fills with small but mighty flying bats. Enjoy an evening discovering how important bats are to our ecosystems and how they help us stay free of bug bites! The program includes a walk less than 1-mile around the park\, stopping occasionally to watch the sky. As the light fades\, we will search for these nighttime flyers racing around catching their dinner. Bat detectors will help us identify and hear their high frequency calls. Layers and sturdy footwear are recommended. Camping chairs and blankets are optional. Registration is required for all participants. Participants 17 and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. DESCRIPTION:Join OC Parks staff and volunteers for our monthly program where art meets ecology! Come explore the natural world through the lens of creativity by painting with watercolors made from natural materials. This program will feature a brief nature walk to identify some common Orange County native plants as well as a discussion about how people have used natural pigments throughout the course of history. We’ll then paint with handmade watercolors created by extracting pigments from the natural world! All program materials will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. The program is designed for ages 14 and older. The program and parking are free. Advance registration is required.
