Pamela Edwards‑Swift is a Certified Family Law Specialist recognized by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization. Achieving this designation requires far more than ordinary licensure. Candidates must pass a separate, rigorous written examination specific to family law, demonstrate substantial experience in the field, and provide judicial and peer references attesting to their expertise and professional reputation. Specialists must also complete continuing legal education exclusively in family law and re‑certify every five years, ensuring their knowledge remains current with evolving statutes, case law, and best practices.
Ms. Edwards‑Swift has been practicing law since 1986 and has devoted her practice exclusively to family law since 1997. She has been a Certified Family Law Specialist for more than 20 years, reflecting both her longstanding commitment to the discipline and her recognized mastery of its complexities. After retiring from practice as a family law litigator, she has continued to devote her time exclusively to family law, and she now focuses her practice on divorce mediations and limited‑scope representation centered on out‑of‑court settlements.
Her professional excellence has been widely acknowledged. She was first named a Super Lawyer in 2010 and has been honored with that distinction every year since. She is the recipient of the Wiley W. Manuel pro bono services award and in 2025, she received the Attorney Volunteer of the Year award from San Bernardino County Legal Aid,recognizing her meaningful contributions to access to justice. She has also served the community as a Judge Pro Tem in San Bernardino County.
Throughout her career, Ms. Edwards‑Swift has consistently invested her time and expertise in service to others. She has volunteered with organizations such as Olivecrest, the former Let It Be Foundation, and the former Inland Hills Church. She has also donated significant time to professional organizations, including East‑West Family Law and the former Collaborative Professionals of the Inland Empire, supporting education, collaboration, and the advancement of family law practice.
Ms. Edwards‑Swift moved with her husband to South Orange County in 2024. Together, they have two grown children. She also has one grown son and grandchildren from her first marriage, all of whom remain an important part of her life
